Vintage Space Themed Kid’s/Teacher Gift Set; The Story of Flight and Sailor Jack Books, Judy Astronaut Tray Puzzle, Vintage Kids Rocket Set Seller details

I spy items all the time that end up making perfect components for gift sets. This is a perfect example. I thought this would be a fun gift set for a young child, or adult, in your life that was interested in space exploration, flight or rockets and appreciated a vintage vibe. The set includes two books, “The Story of Flight” and “Sailor Jack and the Jet Plane” and a Judy tray puzzle of an Astronaut. It would easy to wrap up in a box and present with a heartfelt handwritten note.
The set incudes:
1 – ” The Story of Flight” by Mary Lee Settle, illustrated by George Evans a Step Up Book from Random House. This is a Book Club Edition, Copyright 1967. The book provides general knowledge of the evolution of aviation from prehistoric times to the Space Race, in an easy to read format. In really nice condition with slight corner bumps. No odors, cuts, tears or writing on any pages. Pages are bright and colorful and the illustrations are sepia toned and frame worthy! The astronauts in the book look so much like the puzzle! Dimensions – 8 1/2″ by 6 3/4″ by 1/2″
2 – “Sailor Jack and the Jet Plane” by Selma and Jack Wassermann, pictures by Robert S. Robison, a book in the Sailor Jack Series from Benefic Press. This is the 6th book in the series, Copyright 1962. Humor and action abound in the adventures of Sailor Jack aboard the SHARK – a new atomic submarine. The sub’s mascot is a parrot named Bluebell. This book includes an adventure with Sailor Jack and Bluebell in a jet plane, launched from the submarine, in an easy to read format. In really nice condition with slight corner bumps. The bright yellow cloth cover has some usage and storage marks. No odors, cuts or tears on any pages. There are pencil notation sin the front from the teacher and Robinson in ink. Pages are bright and colorful and the illustrations are cheerful and frame worthy! Bluebell needs to find a new way to fly in this story! Dimensions – 8 3/4″ by 6 5/8″ by 1/2″
3 – Judy Brand tray puzzle, “Astronaut” #606027 4-6 Years, 13 Pcs. Copyright 1974. Bright blue background with gray and black pieces for the astronaut suit and rocket and pink and red accents for his face and harness. Great condition – some slight edge wear. All pieces included. AST written on the back of each piece for ease of clean up! Begun in 1930, The Judy Company of Minneapolis produced wood, or Masonite, frame puzzles for toddlers. Dimensions – 11 3/4″ x 8 3/4″ x 1/4″
